One of the ways we put this into practice is through the use of mobile pasture tractors for our chickens and turkeys. These mobile coops are moved daily to provide fresh pasture, allowing the birds to naturally forage for insects and weeds. This method eliminates the need for harmful pesticides and herbicides, promoting a clean and chemical-free environment.

As the chickens graze, they contribute to the land by naturally fertilizing the soil with their manure—boosting nitrogen levels and improving overall soil health. It's a cycle that benefits both the animals and the earth.

To further encourage biodiversity, we plant a variety of warm and cool weather cover crops.,  These crops enrich the soil, act as natural pest deterrents, and offer nutritious forage for our poultry and sources of pollen and nectar for our honey bees.  We also use cover crops to provide vital nutrients such as nitrogen, in our orchards, berry plots, vineyards and vegetable gardens.
